Strong southerly winds impacted the western range of the San Gabriel Mountains. Some peak wind gusts from the local mesonet include: Magic Mountain Truck Trail (gust 77 MPH), Grass Mountain (gust 66 MPH) and N3 Highway (gust 63 MPH).

Wider weather episode

Strong southerly winds impacted sections of Southwestern California. The strongest winds, gusts up to 77 MPH, occurred in the mountains and across San Luis Obispo county.
