Light to moderate snow started early to mid afternoon hours on March 2nd and continued into March 3rd,with lighter snow continuing into the afternoon hours of March 4th. Accumulations around 8 to 10 inches were depicted at Paradise in the South Cascades, within 12 hours. This falls under winter weather advisory criteria which was issued at this time.

Wider weather episode

A frontal system moved through Western Washington bringing significant snow to the Cascade Range Mountains, where a Winter Storm Warning was issued for each mountain zone.
