A 12 year old male died a week after being rescued from a rip current in Perdido Key. A male in his 50s and a 16 year old also died from injuries sustained during the rescue.

A 16 year old male and an adult male in his 50s both died trying to save a 12 year old boy from rip currents in Perdido Key. They were family friends visiting from Atlanta. The 12 year old died a week later at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
