Severe storms developed over southeast Kansas during the early morning of the 9th as a low level jet interacted with a stalled front along the northwest Arkansas and northeast Oklahoma border. These storms dissipated during the late morning, but left another outflow boundary that interacted with an approaching storm complex to produce another round of strong to severe storms during the afternoon and evening of the 9th. Wind gusts over 60 mph were reported in far southeast Kansas.
