Event narrative

Snowmelt produced a significant washout on National Forest System Road (NFSR) #711-Dry Fork of the Minnesota Creek road located at mile post 5.5 in the Paonia Ranger District. The road was not passable and remained closed.

Wider weather episode

Accelerated snowmelt from a near-record snowpack due to above normal temperatures and precipitation produced high and fast flow on drainages in several west-central counties. As a result, flooding compromised various low-lying roads in the counties.
