Summer Lake RAWS intermittently reported high southwest winds with a peak of 39 MPH gusting to 63 MPH. Similarly, the FW5687 Summer Lake CWOP site reported peak winds of 43 MPH gusting to 65 MPH.

A ridge building in behind a deep, cold trough created a strong pressure gradient with gusty southwest winds in south central Oregon.
