Quarter size hail reported near Forrest, NM.

Daytime heating and moisture over eastern NM allowed storms to ignite over the Sangre de Cristo Mountains spreading southeast over the northeast and east central plains by the late afternoon to early evening hours. A few storms reached severe limits near Raton, Tucumcari, and Clovis. Storms moved east into Texas after 9 PM local time.
