What the National Weather Service wrote
National gridded snowfall analysis indicated 5 to 21 inches of snow at elevations above 2500 feet. Amounts were highest in the eastern portion of the zone, at the higher elevation portion of the zone.
The wider storm
A deep trough in the Gulf of Alaska moved southeast across Washington, Oregon, and northern California with a trio of fronts. Snow levels gradually lowered with each disturbance. Eventually, light valley snow was produced. But, warning amounts were limited to elevations above 2500 feet.
