National gridded snowfall analysis indicated 6 to 14 inches of snow, with highest amounts in the north and northwest portions of the zone.
The wider storm
A deep trough in the Gulf of Alaska moved southeast across Washington, Oregon, and northern California with a trio of fronts. Snow levels gradually lowered with each disturbance. Eventually, light valley snow was produced. But, warning amounts were limited to elevations above 2500 feet.
