The Texas Coastal Ocean Observing Network (TCOON) site at Brazos Santiago (BZST2) recorded wind gusts over 34 knots between 7:24AM CDT and 7:36AM CDT. The highest wind gust of 44 knots was recorded at 7:36AM CDT.

The wider storm

A squall line exited the Rio Grande Valley and impacted the southern Laguna Madre and nearshore Gulf waters early in the morning of June 8th with wind gusts between 40 to 45 knots.
