Event narrative

Penny sized hail fell 8 miles south-southeast of Frijoles in association with a supercell in northwest Santa Fe County.

Wider weather episode

The upper level low from May 31st slowly moved northeast towards Colorado with another round of severe storms across eastern New Mexico. Training supercells in central and southern Guadalupe County resulted in several reports of 1 to 2 inch hail as well as heavy rain. There were no reports of flash flooding however.
