Event narrative
A supercell 5 miles south-southeast of Puerto De Luna in central Guadalupe County initially produced ping pong ball size hail, growing to 2 inch size hail 13 minutes later.
Wider weather episode
The upper level low from May 31st slowly moved northeast towards Colorado with another round of severe storms across eastern New Mexico. Training supercells in central and southern Guadalupe County resulted in several reports of 1 to 2 inch hail as well as heavy rain. There were no reports of flash flooding however.
