The Oklahoma Mesonet station near Stigler measured 69 mph thunderstorm wind gusts.

Wider weather episode

Strong to severe thunderstorms developed across northern Texas and south central Oklahoma during the evening of the 6th. These storms moved east and northeast into eastern Oklahoma during the late evening hours. The strongest storms produced damaging wind gusts.
