Wider weather episode

A mesoscale convective complex dropped south into northern Kentucky during the morning hours of Sunday, May 7th, with the strongest storms located along the leading edge. The system was moving into more stable air, and continued to weaken as it dropped south. However, there were still some sections along the line oriented from west to east that produced some strong winds and hail, and led to the issuance of severe thunderstorm warnings. One of these storms resulted in wind damage in Estill county as it moved through.
