Event narrative

Pioneer Canal overflowed due to rainfall in recent days flooding adjacent Laramie mobile home park. Storm drains were clogged keeping water in place. Adjacent country road was flooded, but Wyoming Highway 230 remained above water level.

Wider weather episode

Strong thunderstorms developed in southeast Wyoming with heavy rainfall and up to penny size hail on the 8th. Additional rainfall in Laramie also led to an overflowing canal flooding a nearby mobile home park in Laramie.
