The ASOS at the Burlington airport reported a gust of 66 mph associated with a decaying shower.

Wider weather episode

A cluster of fast moving, weak showers in the afternoon of the 13th created high winds as they collapsed. Winds not associated with the showers were gusting to around 30-40 mph and as the showers collapsed, short-lived gusts reached up to 66 mph in eastern Colorado.
