Strong winds combined with snowfall to close US Highway 20 from Ashton to the Montana State line and Idaho Highway 87 from Island Park to the Montana state line. Wind gusts of 35 to 60 mph were common throughout the day on April 1st and the highways closed between noon and 5 PM MDT and remained close until the 2nd. Spotter and COOP observers measured in the range of 8 to 10 inches of snowfall in Island Park.
