The ASOS KYKM at the Yakima Airport reported temperatures at to below freezing between 0000 to 0730 PDT on April 20th. The AWOS K1S5 at the Sunnyside Airport reported temperatures at to below freezing between 0055 to 0715 PDT on April 20th.

A persistent cold airmass near the surface and clear skies in the morning resulted in freezing morning lows in the Eastern Columbia River Gorge, areas of the Blue Mountain Foothills, and the Yakima/Kittitas valleys the morning of April 20th.
