Event narrative

A strong low pressure system brought heavy late season snow to the area on the 29th into the 30th. Wider weather episode

A slow moving area of low pressure over Wisconsin brought a prolonged period of heavy, wet snow to parts of northwest Wisconsin the 29th into the 30th. Iron and Ashland counties received the brunt of the snowfall with Lake Superior enhancing totals as well. Snowfall totals of 6 to 8 inches were received from this area with upwards of 10 inches in Gile. While some snow did fall elsewhere, totals were suppressed by a period of rainfall along with the higher sun angle of late April.
