Event narrative

Observer estimated ten inches of snow four miles East of Sprague. WSDOT reported six inches in Sprague.

Wider weather episode

With the region under a slow moving trough, a series of snow bands impacted the region for the start of April. While most locations in Eastern Washington received one to three inches, a few locations reached six to ten inches. The trough exited the region by April 4 and the snow shower threat diminished.
