A trained spotter reported lots of lightning and gusty winds along with the half dollar size hail that lasted approximately 20 minutes.
Wider weather episode
A backdoor cold front enhanced from convective activity in Colorado dropped southwest into northeast NM on June 22nd. This added moisture helped aid in the development of two rounds of showers and severe thunderstorms across the region lasting into the early morning hours of June 23rd.
