Event narrative
Trained spotter reported overflowing parking lot with several inches of water crossing North Leg Rd near Sibley Rd, causing a wash out.
Wider weather episode
An upper level low was located over northern GA with shortwave energy rotating through the base of the trough. Moderate instability and a moist air mass was present with precipitable water values around 1.8 inches. Slow moving thunderstorms with high rain rates moved over the Augusta metro area.
