Strong thunderstorm winds knocked over a tree that ended up leaning on a transformer. The transformer then caught on fire.

A low pressure system brought showers and thunderstorms to Central New York. Daytime heating helped provide instability for strong to severe thunderstorms. Multiple severe storms developed across the region. Strong wind gusts and large hail caused some minor damage.
