Around 8 to 16 inches of snow fell in about 12 hours above 1000 feet elevation.

Wider weather episode

An occluding Gulf of Alaska frontal system moved across SW Washington and NW Oregon,

with mixed rain and snow for the interior lowlands. Upslope W-NW flow behind the cold front led to periods of heavy snow in the Coast Range and Cascades.
