Rockport-Aransas County Airport ASOS measured a gust to 37 knots.
Wider weather episode
A weak mid level low developed over south central Texas on the 9th. Strong storms moved through the coastal region during the early morning hours. Secondary strong storms developed along the Middle Texas coast during the afternoon in a low level convergence zone along the coast. The storms produced wind gusts from 35 to 45 knots over the Middle Texas coast.
