Event narrative

An area of showers with minimal discernable convective elements resulted in a period of high winds. Two weather stations (CW8427 Harrisville 1411 and FW1136 LAYTON) measured multiple wind gusts from 58 to 60 mph. Around the time of high winds noted at CW8427 Harrisville 1411, a report was also received of a mature pine tree uprooted in Harrisville. Other lesser wind gusts are noted throughout this time, with winds gradually diminishing through the morning hours.

A weather system moving through Utah brought widespread precipitation in addition to isolated flash flooding and strong wind gusts.
