Event narrative

A couple of trees and power lines were blown down near the cross section of Nichols Street and Pine Street. The cost of damage was unknown, but it was estimated for inclusion of the event in Storm Data.

Wider weather episode

A frontal zone was north of the area with high pressure extending across south Florida. Aloft, a 500 mb trough base was across the area. Waves of PVA moved eastward through the base of the upper trough which enhanced diurnally driven convection along the sea breezes under westerly steering flow.
