On the evening of the 3rd some scattered thunderstorms and showers moved through the combined Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles. In the wake of this activity winds had picked up to around 35 to 45 mph in Lipscomb County for about an hour or so. The mesonet station located near Lipscomb, TX measured multiple wind gusts around 58 and 59 mph during this time.
