Strong upper level system approaching from the west led to severe thunderstorm development along and east of the Laramie range on the 28th with one particular storm tracking across northeast Laramie County producing large hail up to 4 inches in diameter. This storm continued into the southern Nebraska Panhandle where it eventually produced a tornado.
