Numerous reports of trees and power lines down throughout northern Vance County, including around Townsville.

An area of showers and thunderstorms developed in southwest Virginia, then moved east-southeast straddling the VA-NC border. The bulk of the reports (all wind) occurred north of the Triad in Blacksburg's area, but reports occurred on both sides of the border.
