Trees were reported down along NC Highway 97 near the town of Leggett.

Wider weather episode

An area of showers and thunderstorms developed in southwest Virginia, then moved east-southeast straddling the VA-NC border. The bulk of the reports (all wind) occurred north of the Triad in Blacksburg's area, but reports occurred on both sides of the border.
