A trained spotter relayed a report from his son of approximately golf ball size hail 7 miles south of Wink.
Wider weather episode
Continued lee troughing and weak disturbances within the subtropical jet stream lead to the development of a couple supercells of the higher elevation of the Davis Mountains. A few reports of large hail and damaging winds occurred with these cells.
