Event narrative

A thunderstorm produced a funnel cloud near I-35 and FM 117 in Dilley. The Frio County Emergency Manager relayed a video of the funnel cloud to our office.

Wider weather episode

Thunderstorms formed along a mesoscale boundary that moved from the Texas coast into a moist, unstable airmass. One of these storms produced a tornado and damaging wind gusts.
