The Hoonah AWOS recorded temperatures below 32 degrees for over 7 hours with a minimum of 27 degrees. The COOP in town noted a low of 31 degrees. No impacts were shared.

Wider weather episode

A ridge of high pressure over the eastern Gulf of Alaska, decreasing cloud cover, and light winds during the overnight hours allowed temperatures to fall across the northern panhandle. A frost advisory was in effect and no impacts were shared.
