Thunderstorms produced heavy rain that led to flooding. Drive Texas reported that FM 1353 was closed in both directions between Hwy 181 and FM 2102 southwest of Karnes City due to flooding.

Wider weather episode

An upper level low generated thunderstorms in a warm, moist airmass. Some of these storms produced locally heavy rain leading to local flooding.
