Event narrative

Two trees were blown down along Highway 135N between mile markers 12 and 13 near Valentine Road. The time of damage was based on radar.

Wider weather episode

A cut-off upper level low and upper level trough lingered over the SE states. Moist, SW steering flow around the eastern side of this upper level feature focused embedded short wave troughs rotating through the base of the upper level trough across the local forecast area, which enhanced waves of storminess that moved inland from the Gulf of Mexico and traversed the local area through the afternoon and evening. A flood watch was in effect for portions of north-central Florida given recent heavy rainfall.
