Ascension sheriff's office reports trees down in Sorrento.

An MCS developed overnight in southeast Texas and propagated eastward across south Louisiana during the morning of May 6th. After crossing the Atchafalaya River, the MCS quickly strengthened to its max intensity, producing a swath of damaging winds across southeast Louisiana and the adjacent lakes and sounds. It quickly weakened below severe limits as it got into coastal Mississippi during the late morning.
