Event narrative

County comms reported a tree was blown down at the intersection of Campbell Bridge Rd and Wild Fern Rd and another tree down at Bent Tree Dr and Friendship Rd.

Wider weather episode

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms developed during the late afternoon across the Blue Ridge escarpment and moved southeast. One of these produced isolated damaging wind gusts in Anderson County. This was followed by a decaying line of strong to severe thunderstorms that moved into the area from the North Carolina mountains during late evening and produced additional localized damaging wind gusts.
