A decaying shower produced a dry microburst wind gust at the Grants airport.
Wider weather episode
Storms across the Gila mountain range drifted north over western New Mexico through outflow boundaries. This allowed a decaying thunderstorm over Grants and a developing thunderstorm over Farmington to produce dry microbursts at the respective airport observing sites.
