Hail fell for about 7 minutes.

A very unstable atmosphere with upwards of 3000 J/kg of CAPE combined with an approaching upper wave to produce several large and slow-moving afternoon thunderstorms over mainly eastern central Indiana. A few severe storms produced large hail and wind damage, including 1.50 inch hail over the eastern Indianapolis Metro, and a flattened large barn in Henry County.
