Trees were blown down and a power pole was on fire near the intersection of Andrew Lane Road and Old Douglas Highway. The time of the event was based on radar.

A strong upper-level ridge extended over the region. Light steering flow enabled sea breezes to develop and move inland into the afternoon with a few to isolated strong pulse severe storms along boundary mergers over a very moist and unstable airmass. Local heat advisories were in effect for heat index values 108-112 degrees. A high rip current risk continued at local beaches.
