Two rip current rescues occurred in Flagler Beach near North 14th Street and A1A. One rescue was at 1 pm and the other around 3 pm. There was a moderate rip current risk advertised for NE FL beaches.
Wider weather episode
SW steering flow pushed the dominant west coast sea breeze inland with a merger between the Highway 301 and St. Johns River basin during the evening. A moist and unstable airmass near the collision produced a few strong to pulse severe storms.
