Event narrative

Several weather stations reported heat indices above 112 degrees for over two hours. These conditions were observed widespread along the coastal areas and the valleys.

Wider weather episode

Seasonably to above normal temperatures continued for most of Puerto Rico, as well as dew points above 80 degrees. This resulted in heat indices above 112 degrees for many coastal areas of the north, west, and east, as well as valleys in the central interior.
