A wavering surface boundary across SE Georgia, the dominant Gulf Coast sea breeze and steep mid and upper-level lapse rates combined with some dry pockets of low-level air produced scattered diurnally enhanced strong to severe storms that produced wind gusts of 40-60 mph.
