Power lines down near Blackburn Street on the north side of Paris. The downed power lines were on fire.

Wider weather episode

A warm front draped across central Illinois aided the development of clusters of thunderstorms during the evening, primarily to the east of I-55. These thunderstorms produced scattered large hail, the largest of which was 2.5 inches in diameter in Douglas County, as well as isolated damaging winds.
