Estimated snow amounts were 20 inches at White Elephant and 12 inches at Island Park. Lesser amounts fell at lower elevations with 7.7 inches measured at the Crab Creek Snotel site.

Wider weather episode

A cold front moved through eastern Idaho with heavy mountain snowfall and very high winds mainly in the Arco Desert. Gusts over 70 mph were recorded and interstate 15 shut down on the 5th north of Idaho Falls. High mountain locations received over a foot of snow.
