Hail slightly larger than golf ball size damaged homes and vehicles.
Wider weather episode
Strong to severe thunderstorms developed across northeastern Oklahoma during the early morning hours of the 14th, to north of a stationary frontal boundary that stretched across southeastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas, as a weak upper level disturbance translated into the region. Moderately strong instability and strong deep layer wind shear supported the development of organized thunderstorms, including supercell thunderstorms. The strongest thunderstorms produced large hail up to two inches in diameter and damaging wind gusts.
