Excessive Heat plagued the region with ambient temperatures near or above 105 degrees and/or heat index values near or above 110 degrees.

Wider weather episode

The heat intensified during mid to late June, and excessive heat was seen across all of North and Central Texas. Excessive Heat Warnings were in effect for the entire region, as heat index values soared to 110 to 115 degrees or higher in some areas.
