Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall impacted the affected area during the early evening of July 13. Radar estimates and ground observations indicated between one and a half and three inches of rain fell, leading to a few areas of flash flooding, most notably in the Castleton area along Route 30 near Lake Bomoseen.
Wider weather episode
Scattered thunderstorms, some with torrential rainfall affected portions of Addison and Rutland Counties. One to locally four inches of rain fell in a some areas, leading to a few reports of flash flooding and road washouts.
