Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rainfall impacted the affected area during the late afternoon and early evening hours on July 13. Radar estimates and ground observations showed from one to two and a half inches of rain fell, leading to a few areas of flash flooding, most notably in South Lincoln where reports of flooding on Grimes Road and a few other washouts were reported.
